Police believe the crew stole $6 million by cutting through San Gabriel Valley bank roofs at night and using power tools to empty vaults. The bank heist crew didn't carry demand notes or confront tellers. The robbers' tools of choice included power saws, hand-held radios and ladders.        

Jump in fugitive sex offenders higher than initially thought

California data for October 2011 to Jan. 1, 2013, show a 65% increase in warrants for those who were tracked by GPS units and went missing. The increase in fugitive sex offenders in California since the state changed key prison policies is more than double that previously believed, according to data released Wednesday by corrections officials.        

Cal State to offer online engineering course at 11 more campuses
